I live in Chicago, I went today to the montrose harbor with no luck. I'm a beginner any way you can teach me some tricks.

The Ogden slip. My parents live in the apartments across the street. My dad fishes there all the time under the bridge. Every time I visit I fish every day I'm there.

I'm not from Chicago but consider Chicago home. I adore and miss the city every day. Never have been into fishing but recently picked it up. A good friend of mine use to perch and powerline fish near Montrose Harbor all the time. Now, I can't wait to fish in Chicago. Enjoy! What a wonderful city!

I fish the beaches around tulum . youre allowed to fish anywhere you want to. the beaches are chulk full of bones , permit, and jacks. goodluck

The King of the Lakefront strikes again! That fluke works well. Amazing how nowadays we can see all the way to the bottom way deep and see the fish and lure. Lugging that net around certainly pays off out there. Bass hitting on the southside too!

Caught many of these species off the US Steel breakwall,west of Miller Beach in IN.They closed off access to this great spot as result of Homeland Security Act.No terrorists have been apprehended since that time,along the Lake.Seems like boat fishing only,now.

i thought it was a largemouth at first cause of the color.. Not really seen smallmouth of a green color like that but only brown and bronze color.. Cool. Nice fish.

Back about 45 years ago, you could catch perch under the concrete by the bait store through a buffalo box lid…not kidding..another spot was shed aquarium by the large pipe….loved migs field planes taking off and landing!

I fished North Ave beach pier a few times. Recently I launched my kayak at Montrose beach on a low wind day and was paddle trolling the Flying C. No bites that day. Trying to fish downtown more.

I went to Axehead a couple weeks after the opener and got one decent fish on a spinner. There were other guys still limiting out using cheese mixed with powerbait dough. I think I might try that in the fall.

I went out yesterday to Northerly Island and caught my first ever smallmouth! I know people complain about bed fishing but I watched it come back not even 5 minutes later. I should have thought about throwing my Mepps Comet Mino some, it's my favorite lure and I have caught just about everything with it.
